IIM Indore Students Launch Student Community Site!

Students of IIM Indore have got together and launched a student community site called iimindore360.com. The objective of this site is to give guidance to aspiring students wanting to join IIM Indore. Such initiatives are quite common in the US universities, Infact universities abroad are known to encourage their students to blog and start community forums many of which are powered by the university itself.

In india the only other university or institute that seems to be encouraging online interaction of students that I know about is welingkars institute of management which also has its own blogging community site for students to register and start blogging.

Such student to student interactions can be great brand building exercises for educational institutions which is starting to become a very competitive space in India. Community sites like pagalguy.com have built a complete business model just around these institutions and their need to do branding.
