“Shake Well Before Use” - You might have read this on the text label on a bottle of medicine. Now, this fits into the context of Nokia Nseries mobiles too.

Tong Ren has developed an application, ShakeSMS for Symbian S60 mobile phones based on Accelerometer technology that requires just shaking your mobile phone to unlock the keypad, read the SMS received and shake it again to lock the keypad back. Tong has previously developed another Accelerometer powered application called FlipSilent that became quite popular.

This application is still in beta development & testing phase and public release date hasn’t been fixed yet.

The video demo has been shot on a table so, I have doubts on the sensitivity of the application. Will it work properly while traveling by Mumbai local .etc.?
