1) IDG Invests $2.5 million In iViz

 

 

Data security is fast becoming a major issue faced by several IT and non-IT firms, using Internet for their transactions. We have discussed about the online ticketing and payment frauds, hacking social networking sites and many such things.

 

 

Bangalore based IDG Venture has decided to invest 30 million dollar in organizations that are providing information security services. From that 2.5 million dollars have been invested in iViz- an IIT Kharagpur based data security startup.

 

 

To safeguard company’s data and transaction it is needed that the company has a firewall, antivirus, antispam, and intrusion detection. This software’s helps in safeguarding the company from the unwanted intruders. It is been seen that as the internet space is increasing and the need for these software have also increased.

 

 

2) Hercules Technology Invests $15 million in Hi5 Networks

 

 

With the increasing IT security the SNS’s sites are becoming safer for the people to use it and protect their photos and videos from hackers. Hercules Technology- a finance company has invested 15 million dollar in hi5 networks and global social network.

 

Hi5 has the ability to localize its ads and the content to the language of user’s choice. Presently, it is available in 12 different languages.
