Microsoft Buys 35% Stake In Oxigen- India’s E-Distribution Company

With mergers and acquisitions happening all over the Internet advertising space Microsoft has added one more company to its kitty. It recently picked up 35% stake in Oxigen. Oxigen is India’s e-distribution company that provides users with online bill payment, booking air and railway tickets, recharge, and subscription for various services like internet and so on.
Microsoft buying stakes will help the company to strengthen its back-end with the Microsoft’s newest technology. This in return will help the company to offer better value added services to the clients. The joint ventures, acquisitions and partnerships are helping the companies to offer better services to the clients.

In recent times Microsoft has been doing some investments in the online services space. This deal by Microsoft can be seen as another step in the software giant’s effort to become a prominent player in the online services domain.
There are around 250 million mobile users in India, which are expected to grow up to 300-400 million in next three years.
