In one of my earlier post I had mentioned about SpiceJet and Jet Airways thinking of implementing a security system. Now SpiceJet has partnered with BillDesk, which will enable the SpiceJet customers to pay their tickets through secure online banking account rather then using their credit cards.
On the launch of this service, Mr.Siddhanta Sharma, Executive Chairman & CEO, SpiceJet said, “SpiceJet’s tie-up with BillDesk ensures that a large base of our customers, who did not wish to use credit cards on the internet, will now be able to access this convenient service and pay for their tickets using their secure online banking accounts. It is a very significant step towards achieving our firm belief of ‘Flying for everyone’ ”.
SpiceJet have implemented Decision Manager, which will help in minimizing the online fraud. As in, if a customer pays the tickets fare through credit card then the system will check the necessary information regarding the credit card for example its issue date and IP address and so on.

But the partnership with BillDesk will reduce the Decision Manager’s work. Payment on BillDesk does not require credit card but it needs online banking account which can be created free on BillDesk. BillDesk along with paying tickets online it also offers paying electricity bills, mobile bills, and insurance and so on. BillDesk payment processing networks includes SBI, Citibank, and HDFC.
Such kind of partnerships will prove to be beneficial for e-commerce as they will be able to provide a comfort level to their customers which will ensure a safer online transaction.
