Yahoo has always been aggressive on the mobile front and we have covered their initiatives on this front before as well. Not too long ago they had announced the launch of Onesearch a search service for mobiles. Now it seems they are getting aggressive with their distribution for the same.

Inorder to reach out to a larger audience  Yahoo has tied up with Reliance Infocom to provide Yahoo onesearch on Reliance mobile phones. Though an attempt at reaching the masses for this mobile search service yahoo wont roll this out to all reliance mobile customers at once. According to Vishal Maheshwari, director, mobile, Yahoo! India, “The roll-out of oneSearch on Reliance Mobile will take place in phases. Initially, it will be available only to those users who have GPRS enabled mobile handsets. Later on, it will be extended to basic handset users as well.”

The Yahoo Onesearch service will be available to users through the Reliance Mobile World application which is accessed by Around 10-15 million people out of a total 38 million Reliance mobile phone subscribers (CDMA and GSM). This is the fourth tieup by Yahoo which has already tied up with has already tied up with Idea Cellular, BPL Mobile and BSNL for the search service.
