Google has lent a helping hand to Proto.in, a premier entrepreneurial start-up forum, by becoming the lead sponsor for the same. Proto is in its second year and has been a brilliant platform for over 40 companies to acquire clients, receive exposure, retain and hire talent, and in growing in market presence that quite a few of them have grown to having turnovers in the lower crores since their short-time-back inception.
The event, being held in Chennai on the 18th and 19th of January 2008, will see 17, very exciting and promising companies from across the verticals of telecom, mobile, internet, enterprise, software. Google also looks at sharing its Android and open social platforms to these various entrepreneurs through the event and encourage them to develop new platforms and tap on potential markets.
Proto is also looking at expanding the location of the event to more metros like Delhi and Bangalore in the near future.
