With lots of mergers and acquisitions, Indian online travel industry is booming up. Some time back we had blogged about Travelguru buying Desiya for Rs 100 crores. Online travel industry is adding a lot of value in terms of money to the travel industry.
FundooTrip.com is the newest online travel portal and is the part of SAMPURN group which is the Entertainment News sector of India. FundooTrip.com claims that unlike other travel portals FundooTrip.com not only sells tickets but also focuses on the comfort level of the customers.
On this company’s CEO Sampurn Anand says, “Within the short span of its launch, the portal has seen tremendous traffic growth and its customers are also showing faith in it. It has already started selling holiday packages / flight tickets online and is expecting to make a deep cut in other players’ turnover for the current financial year.”
FundooTrip.com is similar to other travel portals. Selling tickets and packages at lower cost will not help it gain market in this competitive industry. For its survival in online travel industry we hope that it comes up with something new that would make it different from other travel portals.

It might be an affiliate site, as you claim, but even if it is, I don’t understand whats the harm in it.

There is no harm but the way they are advertising the site is wrong. They should put a disclaimer about the affiliation and not create their own brand.
They are confusing people. Why would someone wants to go to an affiliate if they can directly go to the original?
The point I have to make is that they should stop their own brand advertisement.
