Some days back we have discussed about the attempts that were made to hack Facebook. We also discussed about online ticketing crime. It was easy for a hacker to hack the accounts and transfer money or use someone else’s account for transaction. In the past hackers hacked accounts for fun or taking revenge. Presently, they are no longer called “hackers” but “professional hackers” as they do it for quick money with less pain.

But very soon we will have a cyber technology to track hackers. This technology will also be useful to online advertising companies in order to avoid the fake clicks that the ads receive.

Yong Guan, Iowa State University’s Litton Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, says, “that his team has already developed a technology that may help online advertising companies like Google and Yahoo reduce “click fraud”–falsely increasing hits to ads posted on Web sites that results in higher costs for pay-per-click advertising.”

If this works out then the Web pages will only open in a secured network. This will also be applicable to Wireless Networks as there will be a little problem in configuring the IP address. This will not only make Internet a safe place to surf and buy online goods but will also help tracking the hackers.
