Indian Telecom Industry has become a daddy from a little boy.

The entry of telecom in India was in early 1990’s, but the major change took place by entry of Reliance in 2002. Reliance offered free incoming making others also to offer the same. Reliance offered out going calls at nearly 40 p while others were offering it at more than Rs 8/- at that time. Reliance also offered free sms which soon other players also started offering.

With such rapid speed, and larger customer base, each telecom player is offering a huge variety of schemes and offers that it becomes impossible for any one to keep track of what all schemes are offered by each telecom. Even if we put down all the schemes offered by any one telecom player, the list goes on for pages. They have tried to use each and every permutation and combinations in their offering and each schemes more beneficial than others has.

For consumer, it was also a benefit to choose from a variety but now the variety has increased to such a huge number that it has become more and more complex to take a decision and choose a plan which will be beneficial for you.

With all this benefits came huge confusion of which service to choose and which scheme to take on.

There are currently over 200 plans and toppings to choose from. It involves a detailed evaluation of your requirements against the complex features of each and every plan of all the service providers in your circle. Most of the plans cater to various combinations. Also with GSM and CDMA providers, more trouble comes in choosing.

Apart from all this confusion, one more addition is each player has at least scheme of free calling to some service provider numbers.

Now to get benefit of that each customer has to keep track of it’s out going calls and try to find some percentage graph of which service providers, they call the most. This is not only a tedious job but also adds to our confusion.

To help in clearing all this confusion, various sites are now offering an analysis and recommendation to understand which service and which scheme we can opt for to save our bill.

yourbillbuddy

One such site is www.yourbillbuddy.com, they are offering us such service. They will analyze our usage pattern against all the applicable plans offered by service providers in India such as Hutch, Spice, Airtel, Reliance, Tata Indicom, Idea, MTNL and BSNL. They will calculate the cost we would have to pay based on our usage across various combinations of plans and service packs amongst all the service providers in our circle.

They claim to offer an unbiased analysis and recommend the plan that is optimum for our usage pattern! They weigh the benefits of each plan and recommend the plan that suits our usage the best.

With this service being free, it’s not a bad deal to check it, as getting a recommendation and getting free analysis of our usage in not a bad idea at all.
