MonsterIndia.com has now launched job search on mobile platform. The job search is free for the users. A user can enter keywords like “Mumbai PHP coder” and SMS to 53030 in India and get 3 top results from Monsterindia.com.

Vikas Agarwal, VP- Product and Technology, Monster-India said

“The SMS Job Search is a unique and effective way to search for jobs. This application leverages our Magic Search technology (proprietary search engine that allows jobs and resumes to be searched on various parameters through a single keyword text box)”

According to Monster.com, the accuracy of the results is the USP of the service.

Earlier, in 2007, Monster launched SMS Express, a service which lets the employers instantly search for and contact job seekers on mobile.

Mobile penetration in India is much greater than Internet penetration. This move, by Monster.com will be extremely helpful to the job seekers. Especially for the rural population, a mobile job search can come in handy.

Businesses can benefit too, as they can now reach a much larger talent pool.
