HolidayIQ Powers Google’s India Local Search
Every alternate day we hear that this company has merged with a multi-national company and so on. Some time back we heard about India joining hands with UK to start a virtual school. Recently Google has chosen HolidayIQ for providing hotel reviews on a Google Indian Local Search. We had written about google launching local search earlier as well.
Google has been a smart player in the local search segment by aggregating results from smalls vertical based local search players. So if earlier it was burrp now google will be acting as an online directory that will produce results for all kinds of Indian hotel reviews, photographs, resorts, accommodation, home-stays and user database.
The other player thats aggressively positioning itself as a strong hotel search and booking destination is travel guru. This move by HolidayIQ will surely put itself in a good position as a lot of people search for hotels through google search and figuring in the google local search listings would surely help.
