More ads on Mobile - Sulekha Classifieds Go Mobile!

Just the other day I blogged about sms advertising and display ads by webaroo and msn and questioned whether users would develop a blind spot to such ads in the future. Its seems the trend is to go mobile be it sms advertising, display advertising or the newest one which is classifieds advertising.
Sulekha.com which has quite a large online classifieds section is taking the same to mobiles now. Their mobile site would be accessible by WAP and GPRS phones. According to Sulekha CEO “India is emerging as a forerunner in using the cell phone as a tool to access the Internet. Classified ads on the mobile phones offer an instant, inexpensive and user-friendly medium available 24×7″
I guess for every internet player a mobile compotent or distribution is becoming more and more important as the industry matures. This is because the mobile penetration as well as the internet usage on mobiles are increasing. We had written about the same in our earlier post.
