Events Update : TiE TiEGER ‘08 Event and Zapak Gaming Summit

TIE-Kolkata,IIM-Calcutta,Seedfund,IISc Bangalore,NEN & IIT-Kharagur. Are jointly organizing TiEGER ’08, an International Event on Entrepreneurial Awareness and Celebration of Entreprenuership in Eastern India.
The event goes step ahead of the traditional, academic business plan competitions, in that it provides a fund to the winning team and also provides them with mentoring for setting up a venture based on the idea.
Zapak and Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) are together organizing a summit in Mumbai on November 28. The summit is a gamimg summit, which will represent the online content, advertising, e-commerce and mobile content and advertising industry.
Zapak Entertainment COO, Rohit Sharma said,
India is today getting recognized as a potential market for gaming. We are happy to recognize the need for a separate identity for the industry and bring together leading influential personalities on a common platform. Till date gaming has been seen from limited perspectives. Our endeavor is to create a platform that views this industry more holistically. We are confident that our association with IAMAI and Intel will enhance and highlight the importance of this Summit and add credibility to our efforts.
Intel South Asia director of marketing John McClure said,
The gaming industry is becoming extremely important to Intel for 3 reasons. One is the fact that this community is early technology adopter and is extremely demanding in terms of processor and platform performance. The India Gaming Summit reinforces our commitment to this particular industry and has also given us the chance to collaborate with our partners and key players to deliver the best solutions to customers.
