Radio One gets on mobile while mCarbon to launch interactive SMS service in India

Radio One, the joint venture between BBC and Mid-Day has now came up with service for its mobile customers. The service will be provided along with OnMobile Global Limited, a Mobile Value Added Services (MVAS) company. The audience can just dial a number to listen to selected programmes on Radio One.
Select programmes will be available on the mobile service. One can even record a message and get it played on the radio.
Using the mobile platform, Radio One can get to more target audience, thus providing much better value for the advertisers.
OnMobile, spun out of Infosys is a Value Added Service Provider. It develops software VAS solutions for the telecom industry.
Another US-based company called mcarbon is going to launch its interactive SMS services in India. Its flagship product, called speed SMS is an interactive session based SMS service. This service is launched for the first time in India. The service, described as smart bulk message, allows users to interact with the sender with the press of a button.
mCarbon will work with media companies and telecom operators to design interactive services in SMS, music, etc.
