Zapak Gameplex Championship
Zapak announced Zapak Gameplex Championship in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh.. A gaming tournament for Indian gamers. Zapak is being very aggressive in promoting gaming amongst Indians. Reliance already had a stint at organizing such tournaments way back when it launched the gaming tournaments in its Web World stores across the country. This move by Zapak is another attempt to popularize its heavily populated base.
The Championship will have your favorite world famous games like Counter Strike 1.6, Fifa 07 and Flatout 2. You can play games and win exciting prizes every Friday till the 14th December, 2007.
Online gaming space in India is sure hotting up. With the emergence of Reliance’s Zapak, the domain is witnessing never seen before action. With a host of marketing channels including TV Commercials, print ads and online virals, Zapak is getting the right kind of attention.
The Gameplex tournament that Zapak can organize better than other players, because of its pan-India presence of Web World retail stores. It thus has the capacity to manage offline retail channels.
Gameplex will see Zapak’s marketshare increasing further. Gaming competition, if well promoted, witness a good attendance by gamers in these cities. The cities have been carefully selected to cove all present or upcoming IT destinations. User awareness about online gaming will be, in general, more in these cities.
It will be interesting to see how the other players (Indiagames, Games2win) react to this. On the whole, such offline events do a good deal at connecting the user with the organizing company and also create user awareness about the games that the portal has.
