All-India-Radio Launches Multi-Lingual Website!

The statesman has reported that All-India-Radio, which is governed by the central government, has recently launched a multi-lingual website called News-On-Air. The site was launched on October 7th 2007.
With relation to the announcement of the launch, the News-On-Air website states:
“NSD has launched this new website in association with NIC with a host of new features to make the website meet the latest requirements of internet users in India and abroad. This is a multilingual website with news bulletins in various Regional languages. It also show cases the latest technique of Webcasting for the Audio of radio news bulletins broadcast from NSD Headquarters at Delhi and various Regional News Unit across the country. The new Archiving and Search facility will help internet users access any new story or audio of news bulletin on the website. The Feedback Facility on the site will enable the users to appraise the website and send their comments to NSD for further improvement of the website. Listeners will be able to log on to the website to get all information regarding NSD5, its broadcast details, its regional units, name of its part time Correspondents, telephone nos and other such details besides news and news based programmes. The new Website was launched on 7th November 2007 by DG News AIR. DG NIC also graced the occasion.”
The website has uploaded MP3’s of news bulletin’s in various languages such as Hindi, English and Urdu. They have also uploaded some weekly specials and daily broadcasts to their website. Visitors to the news-on-air website can now listen to national bulletins in various languages such as English, Hindi and other 11 ‘regional’ languages which include Sanskrit and Nepali as well. The ‘archiving’ and ’search’ facility as well as the ‘feedback’ facility proves that the websites management is beginning to realize the need to be on par with private radio players technologically.
The launch of this website has not raked in as much hype as it is usually the case with private players in the radio segment. However, we hope to see All-India-Radio getting some hype as well as going technologically advanced to match up the already stiff competition qualitatively. The show has just begun with the All-India-Radio launching the multi-lingual news bulletin website as it plans to target a lot of people across various regions in their local languages all over India.
































Is there any method to get the text of a speech delivered on a particular subject in the National Broadcast. For example a talk was broadcast from New Delhi Radio station by Terry O’brien ” English then and now on 1-1-2008 at 9.30 to 9.45. It was such a good talk and I would like to have complete text of that talk. Will it be possible
