IndiWo.com Launches Online Video Show on Womens Health

Indiwo.com the Indian woman centric portal launched by web 18 is getting innovative when it comes to creating and delivering content to its audience. Called the Holistic Health Show, Indiwo has roped in Health and Fitness guru Mickey Mehta to feature in an online video show.
In this online video show Mickey will talk about women’s health issues ranging from effectively dealing with stress in working women to menopausal problems. Each Webisode will be about 10 minutes in which various women health related issues will be covered.

Its interesting to see that Indiwo is using online video show with celebrity involvement as a way to cater to a niche audience on the web. The number of women thronging the cyberspace is surely rising and also the access of internet in offices where most of these women work. What needs to be seen is how these online video initiative materialises as bandwidth/download speed might be one issue. We ourselves launched a video show called WATShow recently and its latest episode features two interviews with Venture Capitalists.
I feel people are getting comfortable with watching videos online but we are still 3 years ahead for it to be a mainstream activity by online users. So I guess its time to sow the seeds and grow the tree till more and more people start buying fruits!
