Zapak Launches Facebook Application!

We have given enough reasons earlier as to why having a facebook application can be very beneficial to one’s brand. And we had also listed companies like zoho, slideshare, nautanki.tv and techtribe. Now it seems theĀ another one to join the gang is the online gaming giant zapak.com which has launched its own facebook application.

This application provides casual multiplayer games like chess, tictactoe, sudoku, backgammon and others. It looks like a smart move by the gaming company which has earlier made mistakes like diverting its attention from its core i.e. gaming and looking at mail and other services which are already saturated.

Its also good to see that zapak is keeping with the times and is open to distributing its games on other platforms. Going ahead i see distribution of content/application on several platforms like blogs, personal pages, social networks etc being the only way in which a gaming company like zapak or any other online application driven company can get a mass audience and brand awareness and recall in the online space over a long period of time. Being omnipresent across several platforms should be the goal for such companies especially when your audience is global.
