Classifieds portal Click.in Goes Regional!

click.inBangalore-based Greynium Information Technologies Pvt. Ltd which owns oneindia.in has launched online classified portal click.in in regional languages. Besides English it will now be available in five Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Click.in aims has gone regional as its trying to target a larger audience as readers would be able to post and view classifieds in five regional languages. It is also accessible on GPRS enabled phone by simply connecting to oneindia.mobi

Few other companies which provide online classifieds are sulekha.com, kijiji.in and indialist.com.

Earlier we had blogged about Murugavel J – IAMAI Chairman & BharatMatrimony CEO comments where he had said that ‘Regional Language Websites wont work in India!’. Though contrary to this off recently many sites are launching in hindi and other regional languages for example web 18 launching josh 18, orkut going regional and even domains being available in regional languages.

Hopefully this trend would attract regional speaking and reading audiences to the web (i.e. assuming they have internet connectivity. :) )
