Indiabiz.tv - Youtube for brands launched in India!
We had blogged earlier how youtube is going to soon launch an Indian site focussing on Indian content. Also we had questioned whether many of the youtube clones would be able to survive given youtube’s entry. Now it seems some entrepreneurs are looking at videos that are instantly monetizable by focussing on brand videos rather than user generated videos.
The same initiative has been taken by international video search engine Truveo which has tied up with Kewego to enhance its video search engine with content from hundreds of European major-brand video producers.
On similar lines an Indian startup PixelKraft has come up by the name of Indibiz.tv which claims to be online video directory for brands.
Besides for showcasing a brands videos Indibiz.tv it also gives the brand advertiser the option to get feedback from the viewer in form of email, chat or phone. Also this site already boasts of signing up brands like Airtel, Amararaja Batteries, Ford, Hindustan Unilever, Himalaya, ING Vysya, Mahindra Holidays, MK Electric, Nokia, Parryware, Saint Gobain, Titan Watches, Wipro, Yamaha, etc which are already featured on the site.
The site is in flash which really makes the user experience a pain. Im not so sure users would actually throng this website on their own but rather this site would need some more USP rather than just having brand videos! Even agencyfaqs hosts new ads and feedback on those ads are given by advertising enthusiasts which works well though a brand video converting into sale or brand recall on a brand only video site might be difficult.

This morning I found Indian YouTube on. Also Feature Videos listed all indians. That is a huge encouragement to performers. Thanks and congratulations to You Tube management.
