Agencyfaqs gets funded! Seedfund does growth stage funding!

Anyone who is either connected with advertising or media should have heard or been a regular visitor to agencyfaqs.com. I infact used to frequest agencyfaqs quite a lot in my college days for completing my advertising related projects and also to visit their Jobswitch section. Now im an reader of their digital section which has some good content.

So contentsutra broke the news on the funding of agencyfaqs by early stage fund Seedfund. But the deal wasn’t an early stage deal as agencyfaqs is already a profitable venture. So its a growth stage funding but with the amount being within the range for an early stage fund like seedfund. One can read the interviews of both the founder and the investor here and hereWATBlog would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Agencyfaqs! :)

I feel agencyfaqs getting funded is great news for content driven websites as there is scope for them to scale in a niche segment (provided the segment is large enough) and it also encourages creation of diverse content. Though i am not sure many such content driven sites would be able to manage profitability that soon also some niches like medical, B2B news, PR, sports other than cricket are some that are still unexplored in the Indian space.
