Whats the website about?

Indiakahero is a website (platform) that allows users to show their skill and also win prizes in the bargain. you dont win a 1million yearly contract but you do stand a chance to win Bikes, airtickets, laptops etc.

the contest is divided into 4 categories -  Jokes Ka Hero, Songs Ka Hero, Mimicry Ka hero & Dance Ka Hero. where users can post Jokes, sing songs, mimic actors and dance.

the concept of the website is much like your offline TV contests like Indian idol, saregama etc.
put briefly, its a combination of ppular offline shows - Indian Idol, Comedy Circus, jhalak dikhlaja and a bit of mimicry which is again picked from offline shows.

i think its a unique concept, and will certainly encourage users to participate. They have tapped the right channel of reality show, as currently its really hot in India.

Very simple registration. just put in your email and its done. one can Create content online itself. there is an option of recording (voice/video) over the net itself.

‘For the user by the user’ - Users not only upload their content but also get to pick their winners, users have to vote their pick and can also comment their thoughts on the content.

from what all i have seen the content is very poor. listen to this you will know what i meant. there are jokes which donot have any sound at all. some of them have a lot of background noise, while others are too soft to understand. this was the only good song i heard which had max no of votes (5).

i personally think that the UI could have been more attractive, its simple (which is good) but could have been made much better in terms of displaying content

Conclusion -

Pretty Simple, Pretty neat, good concept which is created at the right time (popularity of reality shows).
i do hope to see some good talent/content from this website. i think it would have been better if there was some big brand backing it, i mean it would have been great if some music record co would have created this. also i feel that they could have really had some neat virals as campaigns for the contests.
