Access unlimited internet on mobile @ Rs.99!?

Yes! You read it right! And im hoping these isn’t a *terms and conditions apply for this one! Or it isnt a PR/Communication faux pas.. So heres the whole story.. Tata Teleservices which owns the brand tata indicom has launched a mobile internet enabled phone along with mobile manufacturer Samsung. Now before you make a face at me thinking that almost all high end mobile phones have internet accessibility and what the hell am i talking about? Well here is the difference..
Yes now a days all phones have gprs availability but this phone not only comes bundled with a mobile web browser but Tata is also giving away unlimited internet access on mobile @ Rs.99 per month! Now i haven’t digged deeper but Im hoping that this doesn’t have the *terms and conditions attached. Nevertheless i think initiatives and plans like these by telecom players are really good news for online, mobile, vas, mobile advertising and any other company that associates itself with the internet and mobile space.
According to Mr Pankaj Sethi, President (VAS), Tata Teleservices Limited “This innovation is an important step in extending the power of the Internet on to Mobile Devices, making it accessible to the large and growing mass of mobile users. With our new mobile web browser, Tata Indicom customers can get a rich and full Internet experience on handsets that are very affordable,”
Hopefully more and more telecom players shall replicate this move so even if broadband penetration may have not reached the targetted 10 million but im sure the mobile web users with such initiatatives would surely cross that number.

What is the cost of the handset?
What is the download speed?
Can this be connected to computer and laptop?
How much data we can download in a month?

The internet speed is awesome. Around 230 kbps plus and minus depending on time of day. I have used the connection my self and it rocks.The handset costs around 5500 to 6000. It can be connected to a computer or laptop - for that you need t buy a data cable from samsung that comes at a cost of Rs. 125. No download limit.

I hav purchased samsung explore only 4 internet.but when i connect my mobile to pc with datacable,ther is charge 2rs/mb for surfing as well as downloading.is it ok…?or any other scheme through which i can get unlimitea surfing.one more ques. Is surfing is a part of downloading?
