Reliance money has tied up with Webaroo the mobile web solutions provider to launch the first ever "Mobile Financial Portal". According to Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Director and CEO of Reliance Money “This unique initiative will provide mobile users an opportunity to stay connected with financial markets while on the move, irrespective of the status of their network. Most importantly, this service is being offered by Reliance Money free of charge to all, across networks and mobile technologies”

So after cricket mentioned in the earlier article on cricinfo looking at mobile advertising it seems financial markets is something the mobile users would be wooed with. This mobile financial portal can be accessed from the mobile by pointing the browsers to http://www.webaroo.com/rmoney and on a reliance mobile phone one would have to go to Rworld >> Finance and download the Rmoney application.

I am starting to see more and more traction in the mobile internet space. Its seems like more and more players have suddenly woken up to the possibility on mobile beyond sms and especially the huge growth rates of mobile subscribers which is growing by close to 6-7 million users each month.
