Professional Social Networking definitely seems to be the hottest thing around in the web scene in India currently and just days after breaking the news about Naukri.com backed Brijj.com and talking about newcomers LinkedZone and EyeMany – here’s another for you guys:
This ones from Sabeer Bhatia (Creator of Hotmail.com and Arzoo) and Yogesh Bansal.
So what does ApnaCircle have to offer?

Their UI looks neat and clean. Decent amount of features.
So lets see if these networks will eventually be able to create a Zone for linking and brijjing the distance between employers and prospective employees. A closed circle where one can eye many?

Let’s give these sites a month or 2 and then we’ll have a shoot-out between them.

Addiction ??? I still cant understand how does it differ from existing players and why anyone should join it
And what is the revenue model??
This type of me-too sites may not go beyond WATBlog, WebYantra, Ileher and Pluggd.in.
People who are already hooked up online before these launch of indian sites will not divert to the new indian sites.
But India is Growing, People who are new & getting taste of internet may stick with these Indian sites but the volume will be minimum.
As FaceBook is sky rocketing, It may soon take serious steps in India as well.

I have just a simple question:
"The name of the site is ApnaCircle(in Hindi,which means it is targetted to the Indian audience) than why do we have photos of Foreign guys on the Home page?
Such simple things become a turn off for the users and people may not turn back.
What about Sabeer Bhatia's other ventures like InstaColl and BlogEverywhere, guess they should also be mentioned in this profile.
