Business Networking on the rise.. Eyemany and Linkedzone join the race!

Business networking in India till recently was limited to being on Linkedin but with naukri.com jumping on the bandwagon with brijj.com it was expected that this area of business networking is seeing newer players entering and trying to gain a piece of the market.

So i came to know about two such indian startups that are looking at the business networking arena.

linkedzoneLinkedzone:As the name suggests its a wannabe linkedin and i guess the comparison is inevitable. It allows you to connect through people search and also browse through job openings very much like linkedin. It also has an option to have a public or private profile status. On the whole nothing great it terms of UI or design. Infact the site is not appealing to the eye and unless they are able to build traction and get some real networking happening on the site i doubt the future of this one.

eyemanyEyeMany.com: Eyemany is a little better when it comes to usability and design. On the features front it claims video resumes as its USP and has blogs and networking options as well. Eyemany has launched on 5th of august and it will take some time to take off.

In conclusion: I really doubt that a job centric professional network is the way to go.. I mean it might work for brijj.com because its backed by naukri but for new startups i seriously think a differentiated approach to business networking is required. I see very little stress on collaboration tools by these networks and thats an area i feel is where a business network might work.

    Rajiv,

Thanks for your review on EyeMany.

You are absolutely correct in pointing out the lack of collaboration tools in the existing social networks. We are working on few of these features and will update you on the same as soon as we are ready for our next release.

I will be glad to see more feedback on our efforts.

    Thanks,
    Vikrant

    Hi,

Thanks for covering Linkedzone and for your valuable inputs. As for traction and some real networking, well we do have that happening on the site already. Also, if you check out Linkedzone now you would have seen some new features not there on any other similar site.
