Komli launched Ad network aggregator Pubmatic

pubmaticKomli the ad network which we have written about earlier and also interviewed them before. Komli has gone ahead and introduced an innovative ad network aggregator called Pubmatic for publishers.

Pubmatic is an interface between publishers and online ad networks. i.e. it helps publishers manage the inventory of online ads served up from partner ad networks, via a competitive auction route. Currently, PubMatic.com offers four ad networks – Google AdSense, Yahoo! Publisher Network, ValueClick and Komli.

Amar Goel, founder, PubMatic.com, says the USP of PubMatic.com lies in “its capability to maximise online ad revenue, simplify the process of implementing online ads through online ad networks for publishers, and helping online ad networks to spread their reach across various publishers”.

Currently Pubmatic is in alpha stage inviting selected publishers. Through Pubmatic a publisher can put an ad code on its site and then cutomize the ads it wants to show and from which ad network i.e. the publisher can choose from Google AdSense, Yahoo! Publisher Network, ValueClick and Komli which means Komli could in effect lose publishers to other networks through PubMatic. When questioned on this Amar Goel had this to say "It is very much possible that PubMatic.com will eat into some of the revenue of Komli.com, but they are looking at a broader perspective by taking care of the interests of publishers.".

I feel this is a very good move by komli because aggregation is the way the web is going in the future. With multiple ad networks as a publisher a single platform for managing all networks makes a lot of sense.
