Loanwala - BharatMatrimony’s latest Venture
BharatMatrimony that has made its presence felt in more that one internet space, has now ventured out to capture the Loan online space too, with its latest addition Loanwala.com. With businesses like Bharat Matrimony, Indiaproperty lending their synergy to Loanwala, the Bharatmatrimony group hopes to pick up in the loan space. Currently their core business lies in Bhartmatrimony followed by clickjobs and Indiaproperty. I had a quick interview with Mr Murugavel, CEO of BharatMatrimony.com Pvt. Ltd on the launch of Loanwala.
Q) What is the Rational behind Loanwala.? What are the synergies you see with your other internet spaces?
Ans ) We are basically into the service sector, and our primary goal is fulfilling customers needs. Having already entered spaces like Matrimony and Property, loanwala acts like an extension. Besides our other Internet spaces especially Matrimony and Property and spaces where people do look at taking loans, hence loanwalla and the mentioned spaces will share synergies.
Q) Could you please share your revenue model with us?
We are currently looking at Bank Participation, lead generation as our source of revenue. In future we might look at a transaction based model, but that is not for certain.
Q) Who do you consider as competition and what is distinguishes you from them?
Anyone who enters the loan space is considered as competition. What makes us different is that we have a understanding of the consumer, and we have established our strong presence through other internet spaces in the market already.
Q) What is your target for the next 6 months?
We currently already have about 3000 leads we are aiming at 25000 leads for the next 4 -5 months.
With so many ventures, Mr Murugavel will have to get new visiting cards, due to the lack of space to showcase all their ventures

Currently, LoanWala looks more like a Landing Page.
Regarding the target for next 6 months.
Are the #'s monthly figures or inception to date.
25000 leads sounds too aggressive.
