Radio City has launched its WAP portal, wap.radiocity.in, with help from Hungama Mobile to become the first Indian radio station have a presence on mobiles.

Radio City’s has gone mobile inorder to allow users to download the station’s popular shows like ‘Babbar Sher’, ‘Kya Baat Kar Ra Hai’, ‘Pareshan Hoon Main’ and ‘Dialogue Baazi’. Besides for downloading shows one can also send audio greetings for special occasions to friends and family.

Apurva Purohit CEO, Radio City 91.1FM told agencyfaqs, “With the launch of our WAP portal we along with Hungama will further enhance the listeners delight using technology combined with innovative and interactive radio programming opportunities that allows Radio City listeners to benefit in multiple ways.”

Additionally Radio city have also launched a microsite www.whattefun.com which is designed by bcwebwise. This just shows how the digital revolutions is affecting traditional mediums like rado. having a website and a mobile portal just reinforces the impact these two mediums are creating and how important they are becoming to even traditional media’s portfolio.
