Yahoo image search now will also display Flickr images. Flickr a photo sharing website that was earlier bought by Yahoo in Mid 2005 has proved to be one of Yahoo’s smartest investments.

The search displays the flickr pictures and the flickr usernames. Currently there are approximately 300million photos on flickr that will now be available on  the image search tab.  With 1million files going up everyday on flickr, yahoo will surely become undisputed in image search.

Yahoo also gives you the option to search flickr pictures by the flickr username. The photos that are drawn form flickr will have the individual flickr usernames and when clicked will be taken to their flickr page on which one can also add comments on signing in.

Yahoo has integrated flickr via live photo stream. So when users delete their photos is doesn’t show up on yahoo image search unlike Google that indexes flickr pictures and does not display real-time images.
