Yes yes.. The WATBlog baby has grown up to be 1 year old today!! Here is a pic of the cake that celebrated the 1 year completion of WATBlog..
Drooling all over the cake is allowed .. hehe.. 
We have been racking our brains as to what we should be doing at our 1st Birthday! So here is the plan..

Rajiv and the whole WAT team contributed a lot for us. You guys made tremendous work on WAT and I appreciate your splendid work and hope u will continue to do so. As i have been reading ur blog since from 9 months and check watblog rss feeds every 30min in my netvibes a/c.
I have Suggestions based on my past experience of internet for your blog.
Please change the Template. Use button strips[but no underline for button] for the right side content so that surfing could be delightfully instead of just under line for each "Latest Entries". Use Web 2.0 templates. Use cool background color so that content shouldn't pain users eye while reading. Provide SMSing u r each blog Title just like Rajesh Jain do for his Emergic.org. I will pay for your service. Design Good CSS. I have listed some sites below which might be helpful for you.

Well as far as the chat feature is concerned.. that might just make blogging impossible as everyone would be chatting.. 
But i think adding our IM ids to the profiles may not be such a bad idea :)) Also do mention if there are any specific authors who seem to rank highly as dating material 
Would surely act as a super motivating factor here at WATBlog 8o|

GREAT GOING PPL! I'm kinda new at reading ur blogs and only started after a friend told me bout u but now i read them religiously everyday.
A feature that mite be helpful to integrate on ur site that would in turn be helpful to the readers would be that u have a hyperlink list to blogs related to similar topics. More link a 'quicklinks' list.
eg. A link called 'Bloggie Events' that in turn when clicked would take you to all the blogs that u guys have posted rite from the beginning related to Events about Indian Webblogs.
Similarly, a link called 'Entertainment' where u cd have related blogs and so on.
I feel that this sort of a feature would be helpful for users to quickly go thru blogs of topics that they are interested in instead of searching for them.
Probably, over some time you mite be able to tie up with Internet-related cos to hosts competitions on ur blogsite too that cd generate more traffic and advertise for such cos.

a.) As an end-user I end up doing a bit of exercise through vertical scrolling to reach the last post. Perhaps, we could reduce the displayed posts per page from 10 to 6 or 7.
b.) The font "size" and "type" can be used with uniformity across the entire page. Similar pattern can be adopted for image size. "Right now" the user is not exactly rich and visually appealling.
c.)Whenever, a user visits Watblog.com he cannot see the latest news article, as there's a big Watblog image right at the top which occupies the entire area.Here again, user has to scroll as he really cannot see what's new at watblog.
d.) Subscription options for RSS appear in navigation menu right at the top as well as in the form of buttons which reflects repitition without much value-addition. You could have "n" number of subscription options but you can't put everything on the website.
e.)The navigation menu or rather the links menu at the top of the page, is again stretched with too much of content. Flash navigation menu which has drop-down would help.

I believe you will have to improve your search facilities. There are time when I wanted to refer your older post, the search facility does not give exact result. Hope you guys will improve this.

Hey, well it seems that this baby has really grown up fast in this 1 year and is no longer eligible to be called a 'Baby'. This blog is certainly in the big leagues now and with WatConsult, I'm sure you guys will grow this blog into a much bigger and informative blog on Search Marketing
