MSN Relaunches mobile website.
Email It!

MSN have revamped their Mobile website. Its much like their MSN homepage but does not have too much detail (there is also no need for detail). Users can access their email, chat using messenger, look up maps, get stock updates, read latest news. Weather, finance, msn spaces etc
It’s a one stop shop for all your basic needs. No special application has to be downloaded thus making it accessible to all even those who may not have an advanced or smart phone. A GPRS enabled device is all you need to access the website. The website identifies your handset and accordingly customizes the website which would best suit your mobile. ABI Research has forecast global mobile marketing and advertising to increase sixfold to $19 billion by 2011 from an estimated $3 billion by the end of 2007.
Considering the competition from Google & Yahoo, it is a good move from Microsoft. They should consider making it more local for countries. Currently they have only U.S related news. If they were able to localize their content e.g. weather, stocks news etc it would certainly be a big hit among users on the go who do not have too much time to spend on the internet as the person living in India would not necessarily need U.S. stock updates.
Currently they donot have any advertisements on their website but They plan to have advertisements later on trough banner ads click ads or click and call ads.
