MID-DAY Apologies … Only a whole week later.

In continuation with our earlier post , we would like to update our readers that MID-DAY Banglore has finally carried an apology in their paper. This apology comes almost about a week later, after a whole lot of delay from Sunayana (the mid-day journalist) sides, who kept promising it would come in ‘the next days paper’. The apology also failed to mention the authors name as requested.

Here’s a copy of the apology.

Plagiarism is picking up pace, and most importantly it is going unnoticed in most cases. Had it not been for reader, we would have never know that Banglore Mid-Day has copied content from WATBlog without giving due credit.

None the less we are glad that mid-day apologized for their mistake, closing the whole story on a good note and restoring the power back to bloggers.

Thanks information.. I think its important that offline media realises that it cant take blogs for a ride. And this apology was important for that realisation. Here’s hoping bloggers get more power in the future.. so that such issues are taken far more seriously.
