Riding high on its recognition as “India’s largest hotel network”, travelguru has come with a guaranteed hotel room anywhere, and budget. Their marketing campaign for the same takes off today, and finds it roots it’s the disappointment of a broken promise appeal.
Travleguru has also backed its marketing campaign for hotels with the following television ad
With heavy competition in the online travel industry, this may act as an added bonus for travelguru. With its competitors relying and focusing on ticketing online, if this feature takes off well, it will be a one shop stop for online travel booking.

The new advertising campaign launched by Travelguru introduces ‘Guru’ – an animated character who in the months to come will act as the users personal travel advisor, providing travel tips and recommendations, proactively facilitating the users with their decision-making.
With the competition online being fierce, travel portals are engaging in different marketing strategies to out run their competitions. Just like travelguru’s guaranteed offering, arzoo.com has also launched a limousine service for US customers in India. Arzoo.com completed a year this June, and has revamped its look. The new look comes added with some new features like car hiring, visa information on the site for customers or payment through ITZ Cash Card. Arzoo has also added a few extra destinations.

The hotel industry seems to be getting tougher by the day, with biggies jumping.
Anyways, I will give it a go.
