Indian companies are now being sold on eBay.  A Lucknow based company has just auctioned offering to sell up to 25 per cent stake at a minimum rate of Rs25,000 for a one per cent stake to bidders on eBay. in. (Sounds like a good deal?).

There have been 10 Internet companies which sought out buyers through eBay in the US. For example, search engine DigForIt.com was sold for $25,400 while SynapseLife, an online calendar and organizational site, was bought online for $60,000.
There is also a Bangalore based company called Ingrid that has been auctioned recently on Rediff auctions for a complete sell out.

Although the wait time was about a month the companies eventually got sold. But I feel that the buying on eBay, especially in a country like India is still at a nascent stage users are still not too comfortable with buying products online.  And whereas companies are concerned I still think there is some time as Indian’s are very particular about all their purchases and need to physically see them and get a feel of them.
