Blogs a communication tool for all??

Well if there was one communication tool online that is being adopted as fast as it is being used its blogging. Just over the last few months we have reported blogs being used as a medium of communication.

So every one from ebay, fropper, to even the ceo of naukri.com is realising the power of blogging. Recently AOL India which launched in India also launched AOL blogs. Also besides a communication tools for companies blogging is also being used to spread social awareness as is the case in Madhya pradesh where blogs like safemotherhood.blogspot.com have been initiated to cater to tha issue of safe motherhood and raise concern on the high maternal mortality ratio in the state.

But blogging isnt just limited to the internet companies and social concerns even traditional companies are realising the power of blogging and I can vouch for that as WATConsult has a private corporate blogging workshop with a large Indian MNC lined up tomorrow after which we might consult them into setting up their own corporate blog! One can view our presentation corporate blogging here.

We also carried out an intensive research on blogging in India which threw up some really revealing insights.

And besides for the numbers that came up in our blogging reports the reason why we firmly believe in the power of blogging is effectively expressed by this viral video by microsoft ad center. Though the video is about a conversation between an advertiser and a customer it just states the utter disconnect between the communication that takes place which can be effectively countered by a blog.

In the video below you could replace the advertiser with a Recruiter and a potential employee or you could put a Boss and an employee or it could very well be a company and its customers and the results would be similar. A blog helps in the one to many conversation which helps one talk and listen over a series if comments that can later be drafted into insights that are extremely useful for a blogger/company/recruiter or who ever else it might be.
