User Generated Content- Now on TV

 mtv australia
User generated content has taken to another level. A new channel launched by MTV (Australia) will now allow their viewers to add content created by them on the channel for 1hr of the day. The content can be provided trough the internet or mobile.

What MTV is doing is they are allowing viewers to be an active part of the channel that allows user generated content to be published on a international platform where viewership is maxim compared to any other medium.

Australia will be the first market to introduce user-generated mobile produced video content to the channel. Currently this service is available only in Australia.
The TG would be viewers between the ages of 12-25 who are the most active on the internet and the mobile phone.

MTV have partnered with the 24-hour music station call The Music Factory (TMF) which will broadcast the video clips. MTV Australia managing director Dave Sibley said “This is a way for us to engage our viewers on platforms other than the TV to enjoy the content that they’ve created,”

Even the Indian channels should be looking at such new innovative methods to increase viewer activity and interaction considering the users would be between 12-25 age bracket who are net and mobile savvy and are also the biggest population of our country in terms of activity offline and online.

So u don’t need to be famous to be on TV u can become famous trough TV by showcasing your talent or by doing something so stupid that it must be shown to all.
