Sony PSP goes Mobile

Sony well known for its cool devices will soon be launching their PSP which would also have mobile capabilities. (response to the Iphone)
This has been done in partnership with Britain’s BT Group (BT.L). its a four year contract between both the parties.

The good part- for starters users can have video calls with each other from anywhere in the world. Voice calls (Voip) and messaging is also available. One just needs to be at any Wifi spot and can access all these features.

The bad part- calls can be made only by and to people owning the Sony PSP device. Additional features will be included later to enable calls and messages between PSP’s and computers, fixed-line phones and mobiles.

Sony has so far shipped 24 million PSPs globally since PSP was launched in December 2004, 8 million of which into Europe. The Sony devices will initially be launched in the U.K after which they will be available in other parts of the world.
