Blogs and post cluetrain reality

Hugh macleod (the guy behind South African wine maker stormhek wine launch through blogosphere) made an interesting post about blogs and post cluetrain reality.Hugh says

"Blogging is not about reaching a mass audience. Blogging is not about creating yet another sales channel. Blogging is about allowing "The Smarter Conversation" to happen.

A point to be considered by people who discount the influence of blogs and onlince communities on customers buying behaviour.I do agree with Atul gupta VP Marketing Suzuki India comment on ET that blogs are still a niche medium and very few people refer to internet before makeing a purchase but blogs do reflect what customers feel about a company’s customer service, advertising campaigns, HR polocies and lot more..the only difference some will blog it some will say it in other way
