Ok i guess im tired of counting the number of crciket centric sites that have mushroomed over the last month or so! We have covered most of them. And finally (i hope finally) here are two more cricket centric channels that are lauched.
Indiatimes.com has launched WorldCup.Indiatimes.com, a cricket site that will offer downloadable content in terms of scorecards, news tickers and alerts. Visitors to the site can also chat with celebrities, vote in the cricket polls, read exclusive cricket news, post their own blogs and commentary about the game, watch cricket videos, and download innovative caricature-based wallpapers of players.
While sulekha.com has launched http://cricket.sulekha.com/ which has roped in W V Raman and V B Chandrasekhar along with renowned cricket journalists Suresh Menon, Rahul Banerji, G Rajaraman, Gulu Ezekiel and Vedam Jaishakar who would write and share the platform with Sulekha bloggers to contribute their views & reviews as the event progresses.
Like google Sulekha.com is also organizing an exclusive blogging contest for the World cup, where members can take a shot at winning top prizes for the best blogposts. Sulekha.com is providing a cash prize of $1000 to the winner for best blog entry on the Cricket World Cup.
Its seems like we are in for a overload of cricket content! One of my fellow WATBloggers suggested lets start WATCricket.com!
Also it seems like blogs are the flavour when it comes to cricket reporting actually blogs are becoming more and more popular with corporates as well. Makes me happy that we own WATBlog and now we also own a web 2.0 strategy company that also advises people on blog strategy
.
Cheers to blogs and blogging! And NO we are not starting WATCricket.com
