After releasing its own production Vivah online through the Rajshri.com broadband portal. Rajshri is all set to premiere its second movie but this time its UTV Motion Pictures ‘Hattrick‘ which will be available for download on the same day and date with its worldwide theatrical release. Directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, ‘Hattrick’ features Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Kunal Kapoor, Rimi Sen & Danny and is scheduled for worldwide release on March 16, 2007

The online downloads is targetted towards South Asian and NRI diaspora overseas as Low and High (DVD quality) bandwidth versions of the film will be available at USD 9.99 and USD 19.99 respectively.

Rajshri seems to be following an interesting model keeping the NRI audience in mind. Its a nice way to make money before the pirates steal it. But i think going forward the ads in between movie model might be one that might eventually work i.e. ads are placed at intervals between the movie and the movie is available for free to download.
