Zapak.com wants to launch 3 while Indiagames.com is looking to launch 4 more! Thats the number of Massively Multiplayer Online Game’s (MMOG’s) that both these companies are looking to launch! And thats not all add to that the competition by Sify’s A3india.com and Indiatimes supported Levelupgames.co.in and you know all the gamers are in for a treat!

Rohit Sharma, COO of Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd said "We’ll be doing it big. We are already in talk with publishers in US and S. Korea and by the end of March, Zapak will have at least three MMOGs on its portal".

Vishal Gondal, CEO, Indiagames said "We’ll be soon coming out with four new MMOGs and that will take the total count to 12 on our site. The aim is to offer a bouquet of games to the user"

Firstly for all those who dont know about MMOG’s like its name suggests is an online game, which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously.]

And secondly such games engage the users for a longer time than other games as it allows gamers to have varied experiences with different characters and form their own league with many other players.

MMOG’s have not yet been the massive success that the players backing it would like it to be but nevertheless it has garnered a loyal niche audience. And soon with all the new games and money being pumped in im sure there will be more traction in this segment than there has been already.
