Bonsai Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd. an Insurance Broker headquartered in Mumbai today announced the beta launch of its one of its kind web portal in the Indian Insurance industry. The website would offer the common man an e-tool to compare, choose and buy Insurance policies across all Insurance companies at a click of a mouse.

I checked out the site and found it very interesting! It has search for various types of insurace like personal corporate or nri. It also had an insurance premium calculator. It has an option for the user to register and create his insurance portfolio as well has get assistance on insurance claims.

Right now it looks like ICICI lombard and Bajaj Allianz are the two main insurance providers for this site. I expect a good market for such comparitive shopping websites for financial products especially when its backed by a credible and neutral entity.
