Yahoo Inc. will now start showing mobile display advertising in its Yahoo Mobile Web service in 19 countries. Yahoo mobile advertising will be launched in countries like India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Thailand, United States, United Kingdom, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The customers who click on these ads will be able to call the relevant companies directly or connect to advertisers’ web sites for more information.

This move isnt a surprise as the mobile penetration is spread far and wide and ads on mobile form the most lucrative business proposition for mainstream internet media companies.
