indiwoCNBC-TV18 has launched a comprehensive website targeted specifically at the needs of the Indian woman called indiwo.com. It focuses on beauty, fashion and career advice to ideas on home improvement.

According to Ajay Chacko, marketing head, CNBC-TV18, the website has media offerings that cut across different stages of the life of a woman. Some of the broader sections in the website are life and work, money matters, home décor, beauty and fashion, pregnancy, health and diet, relationships and motherhood.

I went through the site and particularly liked the sliding left menu bar and the horoscope section by Majorie orr which is powered by astrolife.com as i think there would be quite a few women out there with interest in horoscopes!

The site also has tags which are called buzz words. There are also tonnes of sections like videos, photos, forums, ask the expert and also content on various women related issues. All in all seems like an interesting women targetted site much like a femina or elle magazine online!

The only concern is how many internet users are there? and how many would be falling in indiwo’s target market (which according to my thinking would fall anywhere between 18 - 40).

But nonetheless its and interesting site and vertical that indiwo seems to be addressing and is sure to attract women centric advertisers as well.
