Yahoo launches city centric mash up ourcity!

Yahoo! has launched Ourcity which is city centric information service and cureently in beta stage having content for two cities Banglore and Delhi.

Yahoo has created an interesting mash up by taking bookmarks from Del.icio.us, events from Upcoming, Flickr photos, News and even blogs.

This initiative by yahoo looks like an answer to Sify’s mumbailive.in and bangalorelive.in the broadband city centric portals they launched last year. in any case sify and yahoo dont share the greatest of regard for each other and have had many legal battles as well.

i think that burrp may be the dark horse in this category. they seem to be the kids on the block grabbing the most attention.
