Chad Hurley Cofounder of You tube has stated that Youtube is trying to explore  the field for possible monetary benefits for their users. You tube a video website which was bought over by Google for $1.65bn.

YouTube is a popular free video sharing website which lets users upload, view, and share video clips. Videos can be rated; the average rating and the number of times a video has been watched are both published. You Tube also was named TIME magazine’s "Invention of the Year" for 2006.You tube was bought over by Google on 13 November 2006 for $1.65bn.

You tube has plans to give their users monies for uploading their videos on you tube. Although the video website giant as of now  has not yet mentioned anything about the payment fee structure nor method of payment.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos yesterday, Hurley said: "We are getting an audience that is large enough to give us an opportunity to support and foster creativity through sharing revenue with our users. So, in the coming months, we are going to be opening that up."

  1. Now that sounds good!
    With already so many get paid online schemes in the world, we have another from the house of Google! I think it’s a great idea but then the challenge is to avoid people from uploading useless videos or pirated videos and getting viewership for them through friends.

    There are a few sites who currently review and try such paid to be online and other schemes to filter scams and help the users make most of their efforts, for exmaple : http://millions.awardspace.com and a few others.

    Hope to hear from YouTube regarding this paid to upload video program soon!
