Proto.in – India’s biggest technological showcase which we have written about before concluded its first showcase yesterday. I has the opportunity of witnessing the event and I must say I have come back impressed after seeing the quality of startups that are upcoming in India. Here is a low down on the entire event and the startups which showcased themselves on proto.
Day 1 - 20th Jan, 2007 – This was a day when a panel discussion took place between panelists like Mahesh Murthy of SeedFund, Ravi Narayan on Mentor Partners, Sulekha.com co-founder and CEO Satya Prabhakar and Atul Chitnis.
The panel dicussed many issues concerning entrepreneurs such as the lack of good ideas, lack of talent in India as well as the difficulty in recruiting employees for startups.
The panel concluded that the mobile space is one to watch out for in the future.
Day 2 - 21th Jan, 2007 – This was the day when all the action began when companies starting showcasing and did a demo of their products on stage. You would need to reinsert the slideshare code into your blog post. I actually uploaded the ppt after making some changes, hence you are not getting it on your blog. This is a known bug that is going out in the next release. Just copy the code from slideshare once again and replace what you have now.
