Exchange4Media: Quasar Media seems to be aquiring clients like there is no tomorrow! After clinching the deal for Seventymm and Zapak it has won the online duties for Indiatimes Shopping. Indiatimes shopping was earlier handled by GroupM’s online agency Interaction so though indiatimes shopping has gone to Quasar Interaction will continue to handle the Indiatimes online travel business. But quasar as an agency would handle all the other digital media initiatives for Indiatimes including search, Internet, mobile and Web 2.0.

Quasar Media Co-founder and Business Head Manish Vij said, “We believe that digital advertising will be around Rs 2,500 crore by 2010 and we will continue to hold a market share of around 20 per cent. Indiatimes is one of the largest Internet brands in India and we will not only share our learnings with them but also, together, learn and execute the growth in online shopping and ensure they continue to be the largest brand in online shopping.”

Well the way Quasar is going 20% of the market may not be too far fetched!
